Their page states the charger is "intended for compatible 24V LiFePO4 batteries" — a class, not this SKU, so the row is as specific as they were. Minn Kota state this 115 lb motor runs on a 24 volt system and draws up to 58 A. Epoch state this pack is 25.6 V with a maximum continuous discharge of 80 A, leaving 22 A of headroom. Neither company has named the other, and the two figures are different kinds of number: Minn Kota's is a peak draw, Epoch's is a continuous rating. The comparison therefore runs the cautious way round, since a pack that can supply its figure indefinitely covers a motor's worst moment; read the other way it would mean nothing. Epoch do publish this pack in a collection titled "Lithium Batteries for Minn Kota Trolling Motors", which names the motor brand but no model.

25.6 V, 60 Ah, 80 A continuous — the same comparison as the Dakota Lithium 24 V pack: current is comfortable, capacity is forty amp-hours below Minn Kota's lithium band for this motor. Epoch also publish what this one keeps in the cold, which most do not: at least 60% of its capacity at −20°C. Minn Kota's installation manual states their motors are designed for lead acid, that lithium holds a higher voltage for longer, and that running above 85% speed for a prolonged period could cause permanent damage to the motor.
