None of these is a statement that the product is safe or unrecalled — only that our searches found nothing. Each regulator’s own search is linked above.

Devices documented to run on this

Some rows below are marked FIGURES COMPARED. On those the figures line up and neither manufacturer states that the pack runs the device — that is our reading of what each of them published separately, not a claim by either of them or a test by us. Even where every stated figure agrees, these can still decide it:

  • A motor’s published draw is usually a peak, not the load it holds — the two numbers are not the same kind of quantity
  • A maker’s amp-hour minimum and their reserve-capacity minimum can give different answers about the same battery
  • Conditions attached to the chemistry, such as a speed limit for running on lithium
  • Whether the pack may be wired in series at all, where the device needs 24 or 36 volts
  • The charger, which both makers put conditions on and neither supplies
  • Case size, hold-down and terminal type — fitting the space is not being secured in it

Worth confirming with the manufacturer or a dealer before buying.

The two makers do not agree here. The battery maker's thrust rule covers this motor, but the motor's own documentation asks for 60 A continuously and this pack is rated for 50 A. Both statements are recorded; neither has been resolved in favour of the other.

Minn Kota's manual for this motor says three 12-volt batteries are required at 36 volts; this is one pack. Minn Kota publish a maximum draw of 58 A for this motor and say it occurs only intermittently; LiTime rate this pack at 50 A continuous, 60 A for up to thirty minutes and 250 A for one second. This motor's own manual says the QUEST series is optimized for LiFePO4 cells, so the 85% speed limit its older siblings carry does not apply to it.

The two makers do not agree here. The battery maker's own rule covers this motor, quoted above. The motor's maker asks for at least a 105 amp-hour rating, and this pack is 50 Ah. Both statements are recorded and neither has been resolved in favour of the other. Minn Kota's manual for this motor says three 12-volt batteries are required; this is one pack, in the case size of a single lead-acid battery. Minn Kota publish a maximum draw of 52 A for this motor and say it occurs only intermittently; LiTime rate this pack at 50 A continuous, 60 A for up to thirty minutes and 250 A for one second. Minn Kota add a condition LiTime do not: this motor is designed for lead-acid, and running it above 85% speed for a prolonged period on lithium could cause permanent damage to it.

Compatible platforms

The motors this pack is documented to run are listed above. No boat, rig or other platform in this catalogue is listed as carrying it — that is a separate question from what it will power, and nothing is listed until a source answers it.
