THE REMEDY ABOVE IS OUT OF DATE AND A FIX NOW EXISTS. The sentence under "What to do" is Renogy's own, from their Part 573 report of 26 January 2024, and we publish it because it is what the linked notice says. It is no longer where things stand. NHTSA's campaign record for 24E005000, read 11 September 2026, publishes a completed remedy: "Dealers will update the firmware, free of charge. Vehicle manufacturers were notified February 2024. Owners may contact Renogy customer service at 1-909-760-6898." An owner of one of these packs should act on that, not on the notice. The vehicle side of the same defect is a second recall we do not hold as its own record: Jayco's 24V-160-000, received by NHTSA on 29 February 2024, covering 1,342 2021-2024 Jayco Solstice LI, Swift, Terrain and Terrain LE and Entegra Coach Ethos LI, Expanse LI and Launch LE motorhomes, remedied by a dealer battery software update with owner letters mailed 17 May 2024. The equipment maker and the vehicle maker each filed; an owner may be reached by either. From the Part 573 report itself: 1,800 units potentially involved, with 10% estimated to have the defect, built between 17 May 2021 and 15 December 2023. Part number RBT210LFP51S-12-G1-US; cells by Shenzhen Lithtech Energy Co., Ltd. Warning signs an owner can see, as the report lists them: "Cell Imbalance" on the samkoon screen, and live voltage on the battery terminals when the battery is in the off position. The packs were originally designed for installation in recreational vehicles of OEM partners. Renogy's chronology records customer complaints of over-discharge and thermal failure from 30 January 2023, four firmware releases through 2023, and a safety committee vote to recall on 19 January 2024.
