Certifications
- ECE R10-06UN Regulation No. 10 revision 06 — electromagnetic compatibility of vehiclesVerified certification recordIssuer: RDW — Netherlands Vehicle Authority (E4), Type-approval DepartmentCert #E4*10R06/03*5840*00RDW type-approval communication E4*10R06/03*5840*00 — SmartShunt IP65 (all models) — victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Certificate-Automotive-ECE-R10-6-SmartShunt-IP65-(all-models).pdf
Applies in: Contracting parties to UN Regulation No. 10 — the E-mark route, granted by the Netherlands (E4)
RDW type-approval communication E4*10R06/03*5840*00, granted at Zoetermeer on 29 May 2025 and signed by B. P. Loen. The box ticked is "approval granted" rather than "approval extended", and it names four variants: Smartshunt 300A IP65, 500A IP65, 1000A IP65 and 2000A IP65. Tested by Kiwa Assurance B.V. of Woerden, accredited to ISO 17025, under test report 20250011RPT01 dated 17 March 2025. The appendix gives the electrical system rated voltage as 12 or 24 V with NEGATIVE GROUND — the form prints "pos./neg. ground" and strikes "pos." out, following its own instruction to strike out what does not apply. A positive-ground installation is outside what this approval covers. Its scope is electromagnetic compatibility and no more. The test method named is "Electrical disturbance test on voltage supply lines", and the appendix states no vehicle-type restriction and no installation condition. It establishes nothing about the safety of the unit.
Each standard listed is an independent claim about this specific product — one standard does not imply compliance with another.
Batteries documented to run this
No battery in this catalogue is documented for this battery monitor yet. Neither route that reaches a battery elsewhere on this site can reach one from here: a battery maker’s own fitment rule is written in thrust, and a comparison of published requirements needs the minimum capacity a maker asks for — and a battery monitor is rated by neither. That is a limit of the question rather than a gap in what we have found. A row here would need a source naming this battery monitor and a particular pack together. Last searched September 23, 2026.
