A Berkshire Hathaway company and, by their own account, the largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles, cargo trailers, pontoon boats, buses, vans and trucks in North America, founded in 1996 by Pete Liegl. They build under many marques and sell through dealers rather than direct. Their towable and motorized RVs carry a house battery bank separate from the chassis battery, charged by a converter on shore power and by the engine's alternator on the road, and they publish a library of over a thousand supplier manuals covering the converters, inverters, isolation managers, solar controllers and monitors that bank runs on.
