    Minn Kota state a general requirement in this motor's own manual, about any battery rather than about this one: "The motor will operate with any lead acid, deep cycle marine 12-volt battery/batteries. For best results, use a deep cycle, marine battery with at least a 105 amp-hour rating." The figures it is compared against here were read from the battery maker's own specification guide, which is the source cited below. Minn Kota ask for at least 105 amp-hours in the manual, and at least 180 minutes of reserve capacity where no amp-hour figure is given. This battery gives 105 and 205. Neither company mentions the other. Minn Kota also tell readers that a battery rated in cold or marine cranking amps is not designed for a trolling motor and should be avoided; U.S. Battery publish a CCA for this one, under a heading reading Flooded Lead-Acid Deep Cycle Batteries.
